Liam Mandy has played an important part in Purple Dreams, appearing in six productions to date. His debut performance with the group was as Eric Lamb, a role written especially for him, in ‘Butterfly Girls’ (2008). Eric stole the show, and was brought back a few years later for ‘Reality Check’ (2010). Liam also got the chance to play the lovable, blue-skinned Azul in fantasy production ‘Pixie Dust’ (2009). As well as playing the pivotal role of Harry Stewart in ‘Persona’ (2010), Liam also worked as an assistant to the director. As Purple Dreams expands, Liam continues as an actor for the group and in 2012 received a nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his third outing as Eric Lamb in 'Don't Tell Jane!'.
Away from Purple Dreams, Liam is a well-known performer in the area. In addition to taking roles in local Am Dram groups (such as ‘Cause Celebre’, ‘Robin Hood’ and various review shows), Liam performs as part of the singing double act ‘Marshall & Mandy’, and professionally in pantomimes for Rollason Entertainments… such as the Dame in a touring production of ‘Jack & The Beanstalk’ and as the villain in the summer production of ‘Dick Whittington’.
